This guy befriended me on facebook. He introduced himself as American and currently working in UK as businessman. He got my yahoo email ID and started IMing me. We then chatted regularly on YM everynight. We also talked on phone almost every day. He is using photos of an attractive white man. I thought he is the man in the picture and I fell in love with him. I gave him my 100% trust and I believed everything he said, without me knowing that he is a romance scammer. When he was sure that I was already under his spell, he started scamming me. The modus operandi that he used is the parcel that he sent to me with huge amount of cash was stuck at the customs due to shipping policy violation. There was a fake customs guy who called me and asked me to pay the charges so that they can release my shipment. I paid a total of 6500 USD, but no delivery came. Then, they asked me to pay more, but I said I don't have money anymore. That was when I suspected that I was being scammed. I searched in the internet and found some articles about romance scams. That was when I realized that I was indeed scammed.
