I first started chatting to Anna every night using the Anastasia chat line in August 201. She claimed that she was very serious in looking for a long term relationship. She agreed that she would spend a week to see me if I would go over to see her in early Oct 2011. So I went to Nikoleav to date her as agreed. She came with her Anastasia translator for the first dinner meeting. Then she said that she had some issues at home and could not meet me until the 3rd day after my arrival. We met for dinner again on the 3rd day and after that she took me straight out to the shops and asked me to buy her best friend a birthday present whom I had never met. It was a Louis Vuitton lady handbag priced at US$140. I was asked to pay for it. I eventually contributed US$70 towards it. As soon as we left the shopping centre, she said that she forgot to get the receipt and insisted that she would go back to shop by herself to get it. I suspect that she exchanged the ‘so called present’ into cash when I was not there! She came out the next day for 1 hr 30 for late lunch. And after lunch, I was presented with a restaurant bill of US$130. I enquired how we managed to run up a US$130 food bill after spending less than one hour there. ThenI found out she was ordering the most expensive sea food to for take away to her family and I was not told! And we continued to date for the next 2 evenings. The same pattern occurred, she came and took me to the most expensive restaurants in Nikolave every night & wanted to leave as soon as she finished her deserve!! And I had to pay for her taxi to come and to go home. I must have really seen her less than 2 full days during the 7 days I visited her. Not to mention about the restaurant bill, the taxi bill alone must be over US150! After a disappointing week in Nikoelave, I returned to my home country. She continued to call me on the Anastasia chat line and we ended up chatting every evening again! Bad idea! She said that she would make some real effort next time & she agreed that she would move into my apartment if I visited her again in Dec 2011 with the conditions that I would buy her a new laptop (for Skype) & I would alsopay for her to go to English lessons, so she would not need a translator next time!! I agreed, after spending so much time chatting to her, we should give it one more try. She was even involved in choosing the apartment she supposed to live in when I visited her in Dec 2011 (of course she picked the most expensive apartment)! So as agreed, I arranged a local English teacher to give her English lessons for 6 weeks until the end of Nov 2012 (then I would see where we were before renewing the lessons for her in Dec). She asked for US$550 for the laptop. I wanted to send the money to my independent local English teacher, so that she could help Anna to purchase the new laptop and set her up on Skype. But Anna insisted that she was offended by this as she is not a child anymore and can handle money on her own, so I sent her US$550 for the laptop money. The fee for her private English lesson was sent to my local contact directly. These are expensive lessons (US$20 per lesson) and 3 times a week for 8 weeks! Guess what? It took her 3 weeks to purchase this supposed to be ‘Samsung’ laptop. And I never saw her on Skype as the video was never turned on! And she has never shown me what this new laptop looks like and could not tell me what the model number is! In fact she was asking for more money because she said she wanted to have windows XP not window 7 for the new laptop which I did not give her! I found out also during the same time, she already have a Skype address but she set up a new account just for me (so she said) and claimed that she does not use the old ones anymore. My guess is that she does not want me to be on her main Skype account contact list. As it turned out, she only really skyped me no more than 4 times after she received the money! I am actually fairly sure that she already has Skype before she met me, as all my SMS or text messages from her were not coming from her mobile phone. They came from the internet Skype call service! She was still telling me all the sweet things that we would be together soon in Dec 2011. Guess what? As soon as the last English lesson was finished in late Nov. She started saying things like .. all exam timetables were changed and they would now be in mid and late Dec. This was when I supposed to visit her in Nikoleav. Then she started saying that she did not realise that there was only one room in the apartment - she was the one who selected the apartment and I also checked with her 3 times before booking my flight and apartment for Dec). It was so predictable; she started not to answer my calsl on the Anastasia chat line and never bothered to turn on Skype (I am sure that the money I sent her went into pocket money and it is a lot of money, considering the average wage per month is US$200 in Nikoleav). The very last time I communicated with her on Skype was in early Dec. For the first time, she suddenly spoke English to me, so she does not actually need a translator!! I was amazed !! Then she made it clear that she was not going to meet me anymore in Dec 2011 despite I have booked the flight and apartment for her. And she was still pushing her luck asking if I could pay for more English lessons for her which she would find time to attend but at the same time she had not time to spend a few minutes to skype me, due to her sudden examinations and study which no one knew when they would take place and when they would be finished !! In fact the only sms and email messages I ever received from Anna were instruction on how to send her money and when she informed me that she had received the money US$550 I sent her!! Anna is definitely a scammer!! And she also gave me false address. I got a local lady to send her flowers. I found out from the lady that she does not live in that address Anna gave me. The lady was given verbal instruction on the phone by Anna to resend the flowers to another address which she did not want the flower lady to write down! The English teacher however did visit her at that address from time to time to give her lessons. I only found out recently from the English teacher that she never saw anyone at that address and the reason Anna gave every time was that her family which consists of her mother, step father and step sister were out on every Saturday afternoon shopping!!! I suspect that she is living with her boyfriend in another address and obviously sometime also spent time back at her mother's apartment. Hence two addresses!! I now suspect that all the presents for her friends & 3 concert tickets (US$130) I bought for her and the translator that I was meant to go with her together in Oct 2011 (suddenly the concert date was changed and there was no refund) were all lies. She probably exchanged them back into cash! This is on top of the laptop money and English lessons!! .. In fact we saw each other in street in Dec 2011 when I was in Nikoleav (as I already bought the flights and paid for the apartment. She did not even bother to come over to say hello after all the effort I made on her)! So Anna Topalova is a definite scammer!! Please do not date her and she will try to clean you out with lies on presents and expensive restaurants!!! Be warned, she is quite cute but she is a scammer and a petty criminal!!! So please do not give her any money (even taxi money – she does not live too far away) or English lessons!
